Registered Nurse

Kimball Health Services is a non-profit government entity that owns and operates a 14-bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic in Kimball, NE. The facility provides quality, patient-centered care for the communities of Kimball, Nebraska and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.

Our mission is to provide quality health care, create a healing environment, promote general health and economics of the community, and conduct hospital business in an ethical and fiscally responsible manner.

This is a full-time on-site role for an ER/Med Surg Nurse. The ER/Med Surg Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency situations, administering medicine and critical care, and collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals.

Qualifications

  • Emergency Nursing, Critical Care Medicine, and Nursing skills
  • Ability to provide patient care in emergency situations
  • Experience in administering medicine
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with physicians and allied health professionals
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing
  • Experience working in a critical access hospital is a plus

Position Type: Full-time, (3) 12-hour shifts per week

Shift: Night shift with variable weekends and holidays

Hourly Wage: Base pay starts at $30 for RN, $20 for LPN and increases based on years of experience

RN Operating Room Circulator

We have moved to our new 61,000-square-foot facility! We are looking to hire a full-time RN Operating Room Circulator.

Kimball Health Services in Kimball, NE., is seeking a Full-Time RN Operating Room Circulator to join our team. Kimball Health Services is a 14-bed CAH located in western Nebraska and just a short distance from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. 

We offer a number of in-house services along with specialty services with a growing surgical business.

The Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator is responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the physicians and staff to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Assist surgeons during operations circulation
  • Pre-op and post-op
  • Observe and monitor patients' condition and assess their needs
  • Communicate with the physicians to provide the best possible care continuing to develop and implement best practices for exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in OR and provide OR-related duties when needed, including circulating and recovery.
  • Assist the OR team as needed, including, but not limited to, the surgeon, Anesthesia Provider, and surgical technician.
  • Prepare the operating room for patients and procedure(s), ensuring it is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
  • Perform nursing tasks as they arise and proactively as needed, demonstrating clinical competency, including but not limited to starting IVs, administering medications, setting up sterile fields, and performing equipment disinfection and sterilization, all according to designated procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, and members of the healthcare team, ensuring the coordination of patient care, including but not limited to
    • Assess the patient’s condition before surgery.
    • Position the patient on the operating table before and during surgery.
    • Escorting patients to recovery post-operation.
    • Conduct pre- and post-operative education for patients, with continued guidance as necessary.
    • Monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum, including but not limited to monitoring vitals, drain out-put, and post-operative complications.
    • Inventory all operative items pre- and post-surgery, keeping accurate and detailed records.
    • Act as a source of information and resource for recovering patients, responding accurately to questions and providing guidance and education about the treatment plan, recovery plan of care, and medications.
    • Record all operation details, including names and titles of those performing surgery, tools used, amount of medication and or anesthetic a patient received, and duration of surgery. Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
    • Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols established by KHS, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
    • Work and communicate as a team player while exhibiting the utmost professionalism and positivity.

PACU RN

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Nurse at Kimball Health Services in Kimball, NE. The Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Nurse will be responsible for caring for patients during the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery period and providing critical care medicine.

They will work in the recovery room and provide quality medical care to the community. This position is Monday - Friday with no holidays or weekends.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • PACU and Critical Care Medicine experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
