Nursing Department

Kimball Health Services is a non-profit government entity that owns and operates a 14 bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic in Kimball, NE. The facility provides quality, patient-centered care for the communities of Kimball, Nebraska and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Kimball Health Services' mission is to provide quality health care, create a healing environment, promote general health and economics of the community, and conduct hospital business in an ethically and fiscally responsible manner.

This is a full-time on-site role for an ER/Med-Surg Nurse. The ER/Med-Surg Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency situations, administering medicine, critical care, and collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals.

 Qualifications

  • Emergency Nursing, Critical Care Medicine, and Nursing skills
  • Ability to provide patient care in emergency situations
  • Experience in administering medicine
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with physicians and allied health professionals
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing
  • Experience working in a critical access hospital is a plus 

Position Type: Full-time, (3) 12-hour shifts per week

Shift: Night shift with variable weekends and holidays

Radiologic Technologist

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:

We offer clinic services, hospital outpatient, inpatient, Emergency Room services, in Kimball, Nebraska. Our facilities offer state of the art technology, access to specialty referral sources, and a warm caring environment at each of our locations. We are committed to our mission of providing quality health care, recognizing the human worth and dignity of all persons, and making our programs and services available to all without restriction.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Radiologic Technologist at Kimball Health Services. The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and CT scans, and assessing the images for quality assurance. They will operate and maintain imaging equipment and follow radiation safety guidelines. The Radiologic Technologist will also collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate results.

Qualifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and ability to operate and maintain imaging equipment
  • Understanding of medicine and ability to interpret physician orders, patient histories, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred
  • CT: 1 year (preferred) or be willing to cross train into CT

Dietary Cook

To prepare, cook and serve food for patients and employees under sanitary conditions as directed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Handles, prepares and cooks meals following oral and written instructions, menu recipes with knowledge of kitchen operation equipment.
  2. Prepares and presents food in attractive and palatable manner.
  3. Serve food to employees, patients and community.
  4. Wash pots, pans, dishes and other cooking equipment used in food preparation.
  5. Clean and maintain the kitchen facility in a safe and sanitary manner including floors, walls, all equipment and utensils.
  6. Responsible for checking in and putting away orders.
  7. Keeps daily record of meals served and takes inventory of supplies and equipment.
  8. Keep daily records of Temperatures.
  9. Keep Dietary area clean and sanitary.
  10. Assist in washing and sterilizing of dishes and tableware.

Admissions Specialist

Job Title: Admissions Specialist

Join our growing team! KHS has an opening for a full-time Admission Specialist at our Kimball Clinic & Hospital.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Prepare and maintain records in clinic and/or business office by performing the following duties in accordance with Kimball Health Services policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Daily registrations in the clinic/hospital
  • Distribution and sorting of paperwork to the appropriate departments
  • Accurately obtaining specific demographic and financial data
  • Creating, maintaining and distributing required documents and reports related to patient information

Other Duties Include:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently, accurately, politely, and quickly
  • Taking messages or locating personnel if urgently needed
  • Greeting and directing guests
  • Monitoring and updating computer information on all patients
